The music video for Las Vegas based artist, Alli’ Starr’s new single, ‘More’, is a realization of some of her wildest desires, as she and and her female friends have four muscular men blindfolded, tied to stools, and completely at the their mercy.
Of course, being based in the desert, Alli’ Starr knows all about the endless possibilities of the big sky, and in the clip for ‘More’, she’s the queen of the desert, resplendent in stockings, stunning dress, and black jewels attached to her face. She approaches the musclemen, with a swagger and the absolute authority of someone who is complete control. Alli’ Starr is an actor and dancer as well as a top-shelf R&B singer, so when she and her partners fall into formation in the middle of the road and start moving, we’re compelled to fall under their spell.
All of this logically extends from Alli’ Starr’s persona as a woman in control, determined to be satisfied, and who won’t stop until she get what she wants. Alli’ Starr swings around her long braid, embodying a whip in human form. Her singing voice, carries authority at all times, and she’s both sultry and cool, inviting and commanding, all while letting you know exactly where she stands.
Produced by Tyler Gaston and Tiana Shai ‘More’ is a slinky, sultry, relentless track tailored to the club with its trap drums, languid backing vocals, deep, throbbing bass and purring synths.
‘More’ is a foretaste of her upcoming EP, ‘Situationship’, her upcoming EP, which sees Alli’ Starr put her flexibility, versatility, and ambition on display and leaves no doubt about why she’s been selected as a backing singer for artists as varied as Phil Perry, Bobby Womack, The Ohio Players, Barbara Streisand, among many others.
