Continuing his transition from hip hop to the electronic music scene, DJ TOPGUN presents the psychedelic visuals for his sophomore release “Curious.”
TOPGUN shares with us the inspiration behind the sound, and music video.
I was watching youtube videos one night, randomly, and a documentary on psychedelic drugs from the 70’s came on, I sampled some of the audio and this track was the result of it. I wanted to mix old house with new house and come up with audio/visual experience that represents some of my inspirations as an artist
He adds, For the video, we wanted to emulate a psychedelic experience and homage films such as ‘Enter The Void’ and ‘Climax’ by Gaspar Noe. Liam, our cinematographer and art director, and I came up with a digestible treatment that we could execute on our own hands.
