Speaking to Empire back in March, Cruise and executive producer of the film Jerry Bruckheimer talked all things Top Gun, and how things are changing.
Cruise began: “We just started talking. And I realised that there were things that we could accomplish cinematically.
“And I started getting excited about this big challenge of, ‘How do we do it?’ So I said to Jerry, ‘I’ll do it if…’ meaning, I’m not going to do the CGI stuff.”
The trailer for Top Gun: Maverick has already shown off exactly how intense things are going to get for the titular character.
